Production Planner / Inventory Coordinator

About the Opportunity

Nature's Path utilizes a computer system (IFS) to manage the integral parts of our business; manufacturing costs and lot traceability. The IFS & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for IFS inventory system (raw materials, packaging and finished goods) accuracy, maintenance and review. This is completed through accurate and valid shop order processing, timely and accurate month end process and physical and virtual inventory counts. This role also ensures accurate and timely creation, management, and processing of production orders and information.

Critical Outcomes for this role:

  1. Accurate maintenance of daily inventory record levels through shop order planning, scheduling, execution, and closing.
  1. Perform IFS review and system maintenance with periodic review of IFS Inventory Queries to identify potential needs for physical inventory counts
  2. Accurate and valid month end reporting
  3. Develop internal planning schedule to meet the weekly master shop order and include all critical components such as sanitation, maintenance and training requirements.
  4. Manage inventory levels and purchase non IFS items on a timely basis
  5. Lead the Production Control and Automation processes
  6. Consistently deliver a forecasted demand plan for the organization to be executed by Master Production Schedulers

Success in this role will require:

Education

  • Minimum of high school diploma, some college preferred.

Experience

  • Strong computer skills; experience with MRP desirable.
  • Understanding of manufacture flow, work centers, run rates, labor utilization and optimal lot sizes.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills, mathematical skills, organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
