About the Opportunity:

As part of our retail execution team you will sell established brands, introduce new products and work to gain incremental displays in the Natural and Conventional Grocery Channel. The Direct Sales Representative - Upstate New York (DSR) will play a key role in the channel growth, manage the direct and indirect retailer relationships to increase sales activities by growing the business to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals. You will also be responsible for achieving distribution and display goals. You will ensure flawless execution of store level sales and promotion plans with customer retailers in assigned territory

Critical Outcomes for this Role Include:

  • Build and maintain consultative business relationships with customer Key Decision Makers at all levels
  • Responsible for territory growth through store execution of displays and on-shelf presentation in all stores
  • Maximize sales and display opportunities by conducting store walk-throughs, sales analytics, and gaining commitment from the decision makers
  • Conduct store audits in the natural and conventional grocery channel
  • Ability to passionately present the story effectively to captivate your audience
  • Participating in store events
  • Up to 50% Travel
  • Providing series of reports outlining performance in key indicators such as service levels and new placements
  • Following up on voids or merchandising opportunities identified by Team Leader, US Retail Execution

Success in this Role Will Require:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree; ideally in business, sales and/or marketing management.

Experience

  • 1-3 years direct selling experience, preferably in Natural Food Sales, with a background in broker/retail sales.
  • Background in broker network and retail sales.
  • A demonstrated ability in key software applications such as EXCEL, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong presentation skills.
