People and Culture Generalist – Que Pasa

About the Opportunity
This role will be accountable for provding project support, planning, and management of all plant People, Culture and Mission functions including recruitment, payroll and benefit oversight, compensation at a facility level. As a member of the plant management team, the People and Culture Generalist will work with plant leaders in the areas of strategy development, planning, project management, training, health and safety and operational excellence to meet strategic objectives.

Critical Outcomes for this Role Include:

Administration:

  • Responsible for the overall HR advisory as well as oversight over administration
  • Ensures that work processes are documented and streamlined for efficiencies and effectiveness of HR service delivery
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring policies

Advisory Services:

  • Supports internal organization and reorganization strategies and requests in the areas of promotions, restructuring, compensation and workforce planning
  • Responds to general HR inquiries from managers and team members when needed
  • Assists Team Members with questions regarding their benefits and rewards and medical leaves

Recruitment & Retention:

  • Support the talent acquisition process by overseeing recruitment
  • Ensure all team members have participated in our onboarding process
  • Perform employee exit interviews and support the development of an automated tool

 

Success in this role will require:

Education

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree; preferably in Human Resource or a related field
  • CHRP designation an asset

Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Experience with payroll support and benefit administration. ADP experience a plus
  • Experience in food production/manufacturing sector an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
